A Year In The North Country

My first winter in my new house I accidentally discovered and made friends with a family of Flying Squirrels. They would fly to me when I went outside with peanuts and bits of suet. I got a few photos and a few tentative feedings from my fingers and even touched a tail, briefly.
I can hardly believe this was real.
Today my husband and I create a bird and squirrel feeding and entertainment center on the big maple outside the enormous kitchen window. This is where my desk is. Where I have my coffee in the morning, where I write and where I cut, glue and paint a variety of object d'art.
Since I have two other blogs going, I planned this one to be mostly photos of my adventures in the North Country.
